Tyranny

Experience a gripping narrative and strategic gameplay like never before—dive into this unforgettable RPG adventure!

Tyranny is a solid RPG with a good story and some unique gameplay mechanics, after playing for around 20 hours and finishing the main story, I can conclude that it is not without flaws, and below are my thoughts:

Story & Atmosphere (8/10):
The story is very interesting and the world is dark, morally complex which kept me playing the game for a long time. The writing is good in and detailed for most of the story, and the characters are unique and interesting. However, as the story moved on to the final act, it felt like that the ending was a bit premature and rushed, and it made me feel like wanting more of the story.

Gameplay & Combat (7/10):
The fight is tactical, and at first, it is very satisfying, but afterwards, it can be a little tedious because of the limited enemy diversity. The characters of the team have engaging dialogues at the beginning, but slowly they get less and less involved which is one of the reasons why the game feels like it’s unfinished.

Pacing & Length (7/10): I spent about 10-15 hours on Acts 1 and 2, which I felt was great. However, Act 3 is very short, wrapping up in a quick manner and giving a feeling of a sudden end.

Polish & Presentation (7/10): The game is not without its flaws, such as strange lines of dialogue and weird glitches, but the overall look and feel of the game and the soundtrack come together really strong.

Final Verdict: Tyranny provides a wonderful storyline and unique mechanics with a dark tone, its a bit rough around the edges and needs more polish. Despite all this, I would still recommend it, especially when it is on sale. It is, in my opinion, worth a score of approximately 7.5/10.
