Game Review: Supraland
Score: 9/10 🎮✨
As I enter the gently whimsical world of Supraland, it's almost as though an exhilarating wave of mirth and laughter washes over me. The story is light-hearted and comical, easy to follow through some genuinely funny scenes. However, I would not recommend diving deep into "zaza" (if you know, you know 😉) before your gaming experience; I was stuck on puzzles for hours that, surprisingly, were illogically straightforward—my fried brain was complicating things a lot for me!

Puzzles: 9/10 🧩
The puzzles in Supraland are a delight. They are entertaining, vibrant, and, oh, so refreshing in their non-repetitiveness. There were times I'd forget some of the items in my inventory, having navigated through so many obstacles without actively using them. That exploratory vibe is all the stronger, leaving little room for linearity. Some references to popular shows and movies scattered around were clever, which made me laugh out loud; it is always great when the developers acknowledge the wider universe of pop culture, and they've hit it right here!

Combat Mechanics: 8/10 ⚔️
In terms of combat, I found it as an easy system, and while I'm enjoying it, I still would like my sword with a bit more drive. I find it a bit too weak especially against those pesky mages who hit the poor player with their infinite laser aimbot. Admittedly, I might not have installed all upgrades because I am not one of those who tends to complete everything, but a one-shot ability on the sword would be one hell of a sweet addition and would make these encounters less troublesome.

Graphics: 9/10 🎨
Now, I typically don’t focus heavily on graphics unless something feels off because I believe video games are a breed of art. Having said that, Supraland has a nice visual style that takes the cake. Countless times, I stopped just to better soak in the atmosphere and think, "Wow. This is stunning." Colors, design, and all-the-way ambiance create a world that enthralls you right in, making exploration a joy rather than just a task.

All in all, Supraland is a beautiful little nugget of a game that has humor, some really challenging puzzles, and beautiful graphics. A great experience that I highly recommend despite the small niggles in combat mechanics. It's the right game for you if you're after an adventure that has brilliant design mixed with a lighter narrative! Go grab your sword (and maybe get rid of the zaza first), and get ready to take that leap into this lively world.
