SANABI review

Overall Score: 8.5/10

The very moment I played Sanabi, it captivated me with its amazing cyberpunk graphics and quick-moving action, providing me with a thrilling experience that never let me get off my seat. Even though it has some minor issues, its daring style combined with its forceful gameplay gave me a remarkable journey.

Art & Atmosphere: 9/10
I just love the pixel art style in the game combined with dark cyberpunk themes. Certainly one of the best I have seen for some time now. Then there's also the futuristic music to go along with it, enhancing the experience further.

Gameplay: 8/10
Very similar to Katana ZERO (also a very good game), the gameplay is fast, fluid, and exhilarating, with the combat and movement being main highlight of the game. It has some occasional glitches with some mechanics and some levels feel repetitive. The final act really takes the cake with really some challenging moments.

Story & Pacing: 8.5/10
The plot is captivating, set in a harsh cyberpunk world full of mystery and dark secrets. It's not just great in foreshadowing, but it keeps you active as you gradually reveal the layers of the story. Still, parts of the middle might feel a bit slow or even like fillers with some repetitive conversations, but tension is still well built up by the narrative. There are several points in this fast-paced game where you go through very long cutscenes, but the nice ending justifies it all the way.

Overall:
SANABI is a visually stunning and highly engaging game that delivers adrenaline-pumping action within a richly crafted world. Its strong art style and compelling narrative make it a memorable experience. Despite minor flaws, it’s a must-play for fans of stylish, atmospheric platformers.

Would I recommend? Yes, especially if you love fast-paced action with a dark, immersive aesthetic.
